Whether you are proactively planning for your breastfeeding journey or a new mom trying to figure out how to feed your baby, we understand the right guidance and support is crucial for a successful and empowering breastfeeding experience.

Our lactation consultants provide one-on-one support and work to create a unique feeding plan tailored specifically for you and your baby. Services can be provided out of the hospital, your home, over the phone, through email or at a breastfeeding clinic.

Lactation Consultants can help with the following concerns:

  1. Breastfeeding latch and position

  2. Prevention and management of poor latch, nipple pain and breast engorgement

  3. Prevention and management of blocked ducts or mastitis

  4. Insufficient or reduced breastmilk supply

  5. Baby is not gaining weight

Our Lactation Consultants will also:

  • Provide a full assessment, including a weight check

  • Review newborn feeding cues

  • Assist with creating a plan when supplementation has been suggested or required.

  • Screening for lip/tongue ties

  • Help with hand expression and pumping

  • Offer advice about pump rental or purchase, breastfeeding equipment, or baby supplies.
